
Paul Howie, Associate Consultant
A recent addition to Wilson Ihrig, Paul works out of our Los Angeles office. He has a broad mechanical design engineering background that has led him in recent years down the specialized path of acoustical engineering. He has valuable experience in architectural acoustics for LEED building design/construction, environmental acoustics for transportation noise impact studies, including traffic, rail, and aircraft noise, and industrial acoustics-driven design/manufacturing of noise-attenuating turbomachinery enclosures. His expertise includes 3D/2D modeling and analysis in CAD programs such as Sound PLAN and INSUL, field testing, measurement and analysis for both interior acoustics (STC/NIC/IIC/NC/RT60) and exterior environmental acoustics (highway/railway/airport/industrial noise), as well as noise barrier design and optimization.
