Since joining the firm in 2008, Silas has consulted on projects involving rail transit systems, environmental noise, ground-borne vibration, and building noise and vibration control. He is experienced in techniques and instrumentation for obtaining field measurement of noise and vibration from transportation sources. He is proficient in the use of GIS and noise modeling software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, and TNM for calculation, assessment, and mapping of railway, and other environmental noise sources.
