Tim joined Wilson Ihrig in 2015, and has over 17 years of professional experience on a wide array of projects including noise and vibration for rail and transit studies, race tracks, highways, airports, commercial/industrial facilities, and performing arts centers. He has extensive experience predicting noise and vibration levels and conducting field measurements of noise levels, ground-borne and structure-borne vibration levels, vibration propagation properties in soil and buildings, and building sound insulation. He has managed studies for all types of rail and transit projects throughout the country and is well versed in all the procedures and methodology for assessing noise and vibration from rail and transit systems used by the U.S. Federal Transit Administration and Federal Railroad Administration. He is an experienced user of noise modeling software SoundPLAN and FHWA’s TNM.
